I. The Central Construction Office and Himmler's Dismantling Order

Rudolf baldly asserts that Gray J was wrong about orders for the destruction of documents or the extermination installations. But:
  • there is eye witness testimony (Tauber, Broad and Höss) about destruction of documents (van Pelt pages 127-128), (Professor Browning also gave evidence as to the destruction of documents: see, for example, his report pages 63-86 and in cross-examination Day 16 pages 69-70)
  • there is powerful circumstantial evidence on the installations: see, for example, the Becher affidavit from March 1946; negative publicity after the liberation of Majdanek, which caused embarrassment in Berlin; eye-witness evidence (van Pelt pages 128-129).
